Very Busy week

Between work, home and trying to ride it has been a very busy two weeks. We have been slammed at work (good thing) and I'm trying to get as much done around the house as possible before Cayden arrives. Then still get the dogs out for walks or mountain bike rides, it is just crazy busy. I hit the bed at night exhausted.

But we had this to wake up to this morning

The on Saturday over the weekend I got out to a friends to hang out and relax for a couple hours.

Got out for the cross practice last night, legs were tired from the past few rides but it was good to practice. First race this weekend, that is unless Cayden makes an appearance before then.

Slow start to this week

Felt run down all day Monday and Tuesday, commuted to work on Tuesday and ended up getting a ride home and slept for 10 hours.

Feel better today, and now it's time to go for a ride...

A busy weekend

I got out for a nice CX bike ride out at the local mtb trail spot called Whypass, a solid 2 hour ride with some singletrack, lot's of climbing, plenty of run up options, and good bike handling skills work.

Then for the rest of day Saturday we figured we would run some errands, and next thing you know we are buying a car! I bought my VW Jetta Wagon in 2005 and loved it, it was a TDI and I got 45+ mph on average, if it was all hwy I could get more if I kept my foot out of it. But with Cayden coming any day now the Jetta was feeling really small all of a sudden. So we have been kind of shopping around, looking to see what might be a good choice. We looked at a few different cars, the new Jetta Wagon, but it wasn't any bigger, we looked at the Passat which was nice but still not that much bigger. So the next step was looking at the SUV Crossover rigs, the Toureg, Audi Q5 & 7, Volvo V60, etc...

In the end we went for the Volvo SC70, it's more of a full size sports wagon, yet AWD, twin turbo straight 6, and a whole lot of room.... We test drove this car back in 2005 when we bought the Jetta but it just seem big enough in the driver seat for me at the time. Now it feels huge, and I have to move the seat forward a little.

It's a nice ride, Black on the outside and Tan on the inside, plenty of clearance for the gravel roads and all wheel drive. The mpg will take a little getting used to, but lucky we don't drive that much anywase. We got everything transfered over already and the rack makes it look good...

Of course the all day Saturday meant not a lot got done around the house by me, so Sunday was a day to do house work. I got the nursery almost done, maybe another day or two and it will be done.

Cayden is wanting out...

12 hrs so far this week

12 hrs on the bike and walking this week so far, going for first run tonight in 6 months... OUCH it's going to hurt.

Feels good to feel tired again.

CX Party was great, good to see so many familar faces and a lot of new ones. Good job to everyone involved in pulling this all together.

It was a almost close call this morning on the baby front, or maybe closer to a fire drill, but at the last momemt I drove to work and not to the hospital. It's getting real!
